„Let’s share”

Development of ISP workers  is of high importance to us. Therefore, we give them an opportunity to take part in training that is organized in our organisation, and also try to promote  the “Let’s share” idea, which is concerned about sharing knowledge among other employees. Owning to this idea, we have created a new project called “ ISP Academy”, in which, for instance, in-house experts of ISP provide a wide variety of training for co-workers in ING Services Polska.

Last time, as part of the “ISP Academy” project, a “Fundamentals of Windows Server 2008 Active Directory” training took place. This one-day training is intended to share knowledge and abilities with the listeners that let them know the aim and basic functions of Active Directory Domain Services. Due to the fact that the training introduces catalogue services, it is addressed to the technical employees who have never used Active Directory before, as well as those who cooperate with IT systems administration.

During the training, which took place last week, participants gained a sufficient knowledge to understand how the Active Directory server is used in ING Services Polska. A basic knowledge and information, concerning the configuration of organizational entity and users, group accounts and computers were given to the gathered employees. Additionally, the participants understood how catalogue services can support central configuration management and what is more they found out about a Group Policy Objects functionality to ensure technical state compliance.
